MASQUERADE
A killer stalks the halls of a lavish masquerade ball, hunting down a member of Hollywood royalty.
Will your guests eye for detail be enough to spot the killer? Or will they be lost in a sea of accusations? One thing's is for a certain, this is a party where everyone has an incentive to lie.

WHAT THE NIGHT FEELS LIKE
Finding the liar is easy.
Everyone's lying.
Hollywood Masquerade is a classic whodunnit set in Hollywood's golden era, built on social deduction, the genre behind Werewolf and Mafia. Only this time, picking who's lying isn't enough. You need to know why.

EVEN THE GOOD GUYS LIE
Some of the roles fighting for justice are forced to deceive the very people they need to help. Your best ally might be framing you, for a perfectly good reason.

YOUR FINAL VOTE IS ON THE LINE
In most games, dying players get one last say. Here, the stakes are higher, where death or exile can strip it away entirely. No final vote, no last words, just gone.

THE BADDIES ARE RIGGING IT
A papparazi blackmails votes out of good players, nepo-babies are more powerful the worse they play, and a financier is taking bets on who nominates who.
Watching films & your back
A whodunnit where
trust is the rarest thing in the room
Hollywood Masquerade keeps everything players love about Folklore's murder mysteries (hidden roles, secret abilities, a professional storyteller running the chaos) and turns the paranoia all the way up.
VIPs with a target on their backs
Each VIP is hunted by a specific killer. Share too little and they can't clear their name; share too much and they risk being eliminated for good.
Investigators who rule people out
The Photographer, Ingenue and Cinematographer narrow down suspects by elimination, which only works if the room trusts them enough to compare notes.
Self-sacrifice as proof
Players who 'leave the party' stay in the conversation, just without a vote. That makes them valuable information brokers, to a point.

HOLLYWOOD
Nepo Baby
"Votes you make count x2 if the player you’re voting for is good."
So he voted to lock up a few good players... You can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs. That's good info!

OUTSIDER
Reporter
"Each revel, choose two players and learn which category one of them belongs to. You are not told which player."
Your sources have said it has to be one of these two, now you just have to figure out which.

OUTSIDER
Extra
"If asked to reveal your role, you must claim to be another role. If your actual identity is revealed, you must leave the party."
Word of advice, come up with a cover story... and another one... and another one...

ANTAGONIST
Tabloid Source
"Once the killer is locked up, if you identify every player at the party, evil still wins."
She's making a list, checking it twice, and if you put all your cards on the table she can rip out a win from the jaws of defeat.

KILLER
Cult Leader
"During revels 2 and 3, choose a player to convert into a cultist. (You start with 0-1 Antagonist)."
There's nothing quite like realising your best friend is onto you and turning them into your lackey.

Hui-Wen Lim - Google Review
"If you like games like Mafia or Imposter, you'll love this! Super fun night with well thought out characters and good story telling :)"
Yoshie Watters - Google Review
"Mike has crafted a truly unique murder mystery experience, whereby he guides the players with a delightful combination of world building, intrigue and a genuinely entertaining wit. We entered the space and were quickly swept away into an engaging game, alliances formed, evil plotted and betrayals cut deep. Bravo Mike, I could have played all night!"
