Each folklore murder mystery game runs for approximately 75 minutes and no two games are the same. Running two gives players the chance to learn, get comfortable, and put new strategies to the test.

A sci-fi, space opera in which players join an evil, interstellar empire under attack by rebel fighters. This is a system built on double claims and transformations.

What to know before you book
Folklore is 18+
Our parties are adults only at this stage. Because why should kids have all the fun? Your inner child is more than welcome though! So bring along your sense of curiosity and play.
Halftime breaks
After finishing the first game, our expert storyteller will take some time to set up for the second game. This can be extended to make room for a meal with up to an hour between games.

Do I need prior experience with murder mystery games?
No prior experience is necessary! Our games are designed to be accessible to first-time players while still engaging for experienced players. Your storyteller will guide you through everything you need to know.
What if I'm shy or not good at acting?
You don't need to be a performer to enjoy our games. Many of our quietest players end up being the most strategic! The structure of the game naturally encourages everyone to participate at their comfort level.
What should I wear?
Regular casual clothing is perfectly fine. Some groups choose to dress according to the theme (medieval/ gothic cottage-core or 1920s Hollywood) to enhance the experience, but this is entirely optional.
What happens if my character is "killed" during the game?
Unlike traditional murder mysteries, elimination doesn't end your involvement! You'll still participate in discussions and voting, just without your special ability. No one sits out in our games. We also won't reveal your role or alignment until the end of the game.
Can I host a Folklore event at my home or office?
Absolutely! Our games can be set up in any space where players can sit comfortably in a circle. We bring everything needed for the game, including atmospheric music.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2-3 weeks in advance for standard events, and 4-6 weeks for holiday periods or large corporate events.
Is food and drink included?
Food and drinks are not included in our standard packages, but we can help you coordinate with our venue partners if you'd like a combined experience.
